Two Bridges launches our innovative “gift economy”

The Two Bridges Gift Economy has now officially started!

We had an incredible Two Bridges Community meeting last Thursday where we explored our “gift inventory” and how the basics of it can work. Thank you to all who came out to participate!

What is the gift inventory?

It’s a collection of skills, knowledge, goods or assets that we could teach, that we want to learn, and that we want to discuss, barter, buy, or sell. A gift inventory is what makes up our “network”.

After brainstorming these interests on an individual level, we broke into small groups to write all of our gifts on large sheets of paper.

Next, we all went around and added colored stickers to the skills we wanted to learn. It was really exciting to see all the abilities, talents, and hobbies on offer just within our group. Imagine this on a community scale! That is exactly what we hope to build with Two Bridges.

Want to learn about herbal medicine, gardening, speaking another language, or how to use a chain saw?

Come to a future meeting!

Save the date! Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 7th.

Nicole Waicunas will be discussing home education and the School of Innovative Learning. We plan to continue meeting on the first Thursday of each month.

Location will be announced soon.
